Dog in Hong Kong Tests Positive for Coronavirus

According to CNBC, the WHO has confirmed that a dog in Hong Kong has tested "weakly positive" for the Coronavirus. A "weakly positive" result means that a low level of the virus were found.

Hong Kong scientists are unsure if the dog is actually infected with the virus or if it picked up the virus from a contaminated surface. Swabs of its nasal and oral cavities were tested according to Hong Kong's Agriculture, Fisheries, and Conservation Department. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention suggest that pet owners restrict contact with pets if they are infected with COVID-19.
